Ferno EZ Glide Evacuation Chair

The Ferno EZ Glide Evacuation Chair is designed to transport seated patients down and up stairs, over various surfaces, and over low obstacles such as door sills and gutters. The EZ Glide saves time, energy and improves patient care whilst reducing situations where the operator may be injured. The belted track system allows operators to glide and guide the chair down stairs instead of carrying or lifting.

The chair has two 15 cm rear wheels, two 10 cm front swivel wheels and 2.5 cm track-to-ground clearance providing easier manoeuvrability over all types of surfaces and in confined spaces. The durability of this chair is achieved through the metal frame construction, however comfort is not sacrificed as the chair provides a large patient seating surface with plastic snap-on seat, back panels and an extending foot rest, which in conjunction with the lower track angle increases the patient’s sense of security. Five varying lift bar positions make the chair easier to use as it increases overall control while reducing the strain of moving a patient.
