Student Paramedic FernoSim 2019

3 - 4 OCTOBER 2019  |  QUT KELVIN GROVE, BRISBANE

The Student FernoSim is a high fidelity simulation event designed to provide paramedic students with a fun but intense experience that consolidates their academic learning and provides an opportunity to practice clinical and teamwork skills.

NEW FernoSim format in 2019

Student FernoSim normally receives more team applications than we have space for. So this year, we're trialling a new format so multiple teams from each uni campus can enter, and we can include more teams into FernoSim before starting a Waiting List.

  • FERNOSIM PRELIMINARIES (3 October):  ALL TEAMS will participate in the FernoSim Preliminaries - a series of three 15-minute Skill Challenges. To help teams prepare, we've provided a shortlist of six topics to focus on in the Student Team Playbook. The Skill Challenge topics will be any three topics from this shortlist.
  • FERNOSIM FINAL (4 October): THE 8 HIGHEST-SCORING TEAMS from the Preliminary Challenge will go through to the FernoSim Final - the 15-minute scenario-based challenge that will get your adrenaline pumping!

FernoSim is held in conjunction with the SPAIC19 which runs from 4 - 5 October 2019. To attend SPAIC19, register via their website.
