The combination grabber jaw and automotive spreader tips are made of heat treated steel which enables better tool grip and relocation of metal. For manageability in critical situations TNT Rescue Spreaders have variable speed control complete with True Variable Speed Control (TVSC) and Deadman Control. The D-shape wraparound handle is well balanced for easy positioning and ensures easy operation in all positions for left or right handed operators. Dual pilot check valves are used for reliable and superior load holding. Extended working surface-serrations extend into the arms. The spreaders have a wear resistant anodised surface that protects the tool from corrosion. The spreaders can also be used with chain attachments/systems for pulling operations. The new lightweight spreader SL-28 provides the same power and features of the standard TNT spreaders with weight reduction of over 33% from the S-100-28 model.
Spreader Arm and Tip
In the rescue industry, a failure can have drastic implications. A TNT spreader arm has never failed a rescuer. The arms on TNT spreaders are engineered to withstand extreme conditions and forces which are inherent in rescue operations.
I-Beam Design
The I-Beam Design provides superior strength-to-weight ratio in the construction industry. The rescue tool industry is no different. Through extensive computer modelling and testing TNT has designed a strong yet light I-Beam style spreader arm.
Advanced Super Grip Tip
In a spreader tip, aggressive equates to better grip. TNT tips have aggressive serrations on all potential gripping surfaces, including the sides. This helps minimise tool slippage and kick out. Additionally, the spread cup increases the holding power of the tip within the spread.
